Are your Chamber Members missing out on special financing opportunities?

Restaurant/ Bar - Commercial Property

Are any of your Chamber members involved in real estate? Do they own a commercial building or manufacturing plant?  Maybe they have a multi-family property? Any hotels or senior living facilities in your community?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, then your Chamber of Commerce needs to know about the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy program ( or C-PACE).

C-PACE is a unique program that allows property owners to finance renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water efficiency improvements to their commercial, industrial and large multi-family facilities at a low cost  over an extended period of time.  For example, HVAC, solar, LED lighting, efficient windows and doors, low flow fixtures, and any other improvements a property may need that lower energy and water usage. This low cost financing and extended payment period assists the owner with their cash flow by aligning the cost of these upgrades with the utility bill savings from the upgrades.

Who would not want the ability to upgrade their facility with a program that is typically cash flow positive from day one – especially in these challenging times?

So what type of properties are eligible?

Several kinds of commercial property qualify for C-PACE financing. Does your Chamber membership include those who own:

  • Multifamily housing (Five or more units.)
  • Office buildings?
  • Industrial properties?
  • Retail buildings?
  • Hotels?
  • Mixed-Use properties?
  • Entertainment facilities?
  • Religious buildings?
  • Educational properties?
  • Storage facilities?

As you can see, virtually any non-governmental property would qualify for this specialty financing, many of which are owned by your members!

As an Administrator for city and county C-PACE programs in Texas, Lone Star PACE can provide Chambers of Commerce and their members with information on the program and how to apply. Lone Star PACE offers educational webinars and events that will help spread the word.  Please contact us if you would like to schedule an event for your membership or if you would like to learn more.
