The property owner financed energy-saving improvements through C-PACE, leveraging the program’s long-term, fixed-rate structure to significantly lower operational costs while improving asset performance.
Impact
By obtaining C-PACE financing, the property owner was able to upgrade the building’s envelope, HVAC systems, lighting, electrical infrastructure and generators. In addition to driving down energy costs, the improvements will enable Dallas County to advance its sustainability and economic development goals while reducing demand on local utilities. The associated improvements are expected to reduce the property’s annual energy usage by 6%.
