Developers behind this adaptive reuse project on Clarendon Drive in the East Oak Cliff area of Dallas sought to transform three dilapidated buildings into a vibrant mixed-use destination. The reimagined site will include 62,000 square feet of retail and industrial tenants such as yoga studios, coffee roasters, educational facilities, art studios and restaurants.

Impact

By obtaining C-PACE financing, the property owner was able to upgrade the building’s envelope, lighting, HVAC, and plumbing systems which enabled Dallas County to support their sustainability and economic development goals while reducing demand on local resources. The improvements are expected to reduce the property’s electricity and water usage by 41% and 26% per year, respectively.
