Ironwood at Princeton is a Class-A multifamily community in the DFW suburb of Princeton. At full build-out, the 265,000-square-foot community will include 306 units across 14 residential buildings. The project is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, energy-efficient housing in this fastest-growing North Texas city.
Impact
By obtaining C-PACE financing, the property owner was able to upgrade the building envelope, lighting, HVAC, domestic hot water and plumbing systems, which enabled Collin County to further its sustainability and economic development goals while reducing demand on the Texas electrical grid. The associated improvements are expected to reduce the property’s annual energy and water usage by about 25% and 20%, respectively.
