Jefferson Ownsby is a Class-A multifamily community in the DFW suburb of Celina. At full build-out, the 559,000-square-foot community will include 436 units across four residential buildings. The project is designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, energy-efficient housing in one of the fastest-growing cities in North Texas.
Impact
By obtaining C-PACE financing, the property owner was able to upgrade the building envelope, lighting, HVAC and plumbing systems, which enabled Collin County to further its sustainability and economic development goals while reducing demand on the Texas electrical grid. The associated improvements are expected to reduce the property’s annual energy and water usage by about 16% and 34%, respectively.
