The MCM Elegante project transformed an existing Beaumont hotel into a 278-key, dual-branded Courtyard and Element Hotel by Marriott. The Courtyard portion features 135 rooms, while the Element Hotel includes 152 rooms designed for extended-stay guests.
Impact
By obtaining C-PACE financing, the property owner was able to upgrade the building envelope, lighting, HVAC and plumbing systems, which enabled Jefferson County to further its sustainability and economic development goals while reducing demand on the Texas electrical grid. The associated improvements are expected to reduce the property’s annual energy, water and natural usage by about 29%, 39% and 30%, respectively.
